Anticipating More Exciting Announcements

Organizers of the Detroit Auto Show have indicated that there are further exciting announcements to come, including a couple of noteworthy "firsts" for the event. With over three months remaining until the show opens, the anticipation continues to build.

Event Details and Schedule

The Detroit Auto Show will be held at Huntington Place in Detroit. The event commences with Media Day on Wednesday, Sept. 13. Technology Days/AutoMobili-D and the Mobility Global Forum are scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 13, to Thursday, Sept. 14, followed by the signature Charity Preview event on Friday, Sept. 15. The show then opens to the public from Saturday, Sept. 16, to Sunday, Sept. 24. Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan emphasizes that this year's Auto Show will underscore Detroit's leading role in mobility innovation as the transportation landscape undergoes transformative changes.

Brand-Specific Tracks, Vehicle Debuts, and Increased Representation

Show officials confirm the return of brand-specific tracks from Jeep, Ram, and Ford, accompanied by fresh experiential activations. Multiple vehicle debuts have been confirmed, and the show will boast an increased presence of several brands. Show officials expect double the number of participating brands, ensuring a diverse and exciting showcase.

Powering Michigan EV Experience Indoor Track

A new addition to the show is the Powering Michigan EV Experience indoor track, sponsored by the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 58 and the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA). This immersive activation allows visitors to explore a wide range of EV vehicles as they navigate a serpentine track with an impressive acceleration lane stretching over 300 feet. Accompanied by professional drivers, attendees can fully immerse themselves in the world of electric vehicles.

Education and Street Course Ride-and-Drives

The Powering Michigan EV Learning Center, also sponsored by IBEW Local 58 and NECA, awaits visitors as they exit the track experience. This center offers educational insights into the EV charging process through real-life demonstrations, providing attendees with valuable knowledge.

Expanding on the success of previous street course ride-and-drives, this year's show will offer hands-on experiences in electric and autonomous vehicles from additional brands. These thrilling ride-and-drives will take place outside, along the Detroit Riverfront, incorporating sections of the Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix downtown race circuit.
