Kia America celebrates a remarkable third quarter with total sales reaching 210,341 units, setting a new milestone. This impressive success marks the third occasion in Kia’s history where quarterly sales have surged past the 210,000 unit limit. These record-breaking performances have significantly contributed to Kia’s highest-ever nine-month total, with a remarkable 604,674 units.
September’s Success
In September alone, Kia accomplished its best-ever September sales with 67,264 units sold, marking the brand’s 14th consecutive month of year-over-year sales growth. Sales of Kia’s robust and capable utility vehicles saw a substantial year-over-year increase of 19%. Even more striking, the brand’s battery-electric vehicles witnessed an amazing 127% surge compared to the previous record set in September 2022. Kia’s retail-only performance was equally impressive, with 62,661 units sold, representing a 14% growth compared to the same period the previous year.
Diverse Range of Success
Kia’s success is not limited to one model, with ten Kia models experiencing year-over-year sales growth. These include Niro (+1,341%), Carnival (+187%), EV6 (+45%), Rio (+45%), Forte (+28%), Seltos (+18%), K5 (+11%), Sorento (+10%), Telluride (+8%), and Soul (+3%). Additionally, three Kia models achieved best-ever September sales records: Carnival, EV6, and K5. Impressively, Kia’s utility vehicles accounted for 72% of the brand’s overall September sales total.
