In an arbitration case, Auto Legal Group successfully defended a Sacramento dealership against claims that the dealership made a false statement that a new hybrid battery had been installed on the vehicle just before sale and sold it with a defective hybrid battery.
The dispute started after the Sacramento dealership sold a 2012 Prius, which its hybrid battery began to malfunction soon after sale. Plaintiffs sought damages of $14,631.46 and attorney’s fees of tens of thousands of dollars, arbitration costs, and other expenses. Luckily, the Sacramento dealership had used DealerXT’s SafeDealsAI software system that automates legal disclosures. In his decision, the arbitrator specifically referred to SafeDealsAI’s sophisticated disclosures and the photos of the customer on the reports when they signed the disclosures. Needless to say, ALG and the Sacramento dealer are both very happy with the outcome, and the Plaintiff’s lawyer will now have to think twice about continuing with claims against DealerXT Disclosures.
